Step 2: Connection parameters

In this step of the JRE download wizard, you enter your proxy settings for connecting to ej-technologies' download server.
  There are two different modes of connecting to the internet:
  • direct connection to the internet
    No further input is necessary in this step
  • connection to the internet through a proxy
    Enter the following connection parameters:
    • proxy host
      The proxy host can be a server name (e.g. proxy.mycorp.com) or an IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.1).
    • proxy port
      The proxy port must be in the range of 1-65536.
    • proxy authentication
      If proxy authentication is required, check this option and enter your user name and password in the text fields below.

      Note: the password will not be saved in the install4j configuration, you will have to reenter it each time you run the JRE download wizard.

  Click [Next] to proceed to the next step or [Cancel] to leave the JRE download wizard without connecting to the server.
