Step 4: Configure the installer

  In the Installer step, you configure the steps in the GUI installer and custom actions that are invoked during the installation. In the enterprise edition, custom screens can be added and the appearance of the installer can be customized. The GUI installer step is divided into four tabs which are located at the bottom of install4j's main window:
  • Custom code
    On this tab you configure the location of custom code for your extensions as well as the custom actions for installation and uninstallation.
  • Installer features
    On this tab you configure the screen flow and the behavior of the GUI installer. In install4j Enterprise Edition you can define custom screens as well.
  • GUI Options (enterprise edition only)
    On this tab you can customize the appearance of the GUI installer. This tab is only visible in install4j Enterprise Edition.
  • Advanced tasks
    On this tab you configure handlers for advanced customization of your installers.
